Citronella’s Beach Lounge
Citronella’s is a chic beach restaurant that has undergone a complete 360°C transformation. Reinvented, it now constitutes a fresh, welcoming, and dynamic offer. I had to travel to Mauritius from UK due to a bereavement in the family. I arrived at Sugar Beach hotel for my 7 days Quarantine Stay in September, feeling fragile and mentally drained. I left the hotel, a new woman, full of energy, very well fed, beautifully tanned, well toned and from the daily activities run for us, I have picked useful tips on napkin folding, how to make a good curry from an exceptional chef, and on wine tasting. This would not happen without the staff’s attention and kindness towards me. Grand Merci a Pamela, Loretta and Isabelle, Fitness Centre, pour vos ‘clases de stretching dans le studio et sur la plage’ et votre patience m’a bcp touchee . A tout le personnel et chefs des 3 restos, Budda Bar, Citronella et Mon Plaisir, je dis ‘ Grand Bravo, service super, les plats bien delicieux (le cari cerf et rougaille poisson sale et sushi, bien apprecies et bien speciales) , the attention to detail second to none’ . To the staff at the Boathouse, without your help and patience, I will not have been able to now boast to my family and friends that I can stand upright on a paddleboard and that I have nearly got that wind surfing sail up and going, Merci, Merci. I can see how much all the staff are proud and enjoying so much working in a beautiful hotel. I wish you all the very best of luck and bonne continuation avec le bon travail a Sugar Beach.
