Travel to Mauritius 2021

 

Travel to Mauritius is now possible. Our border is opening on 15 July. Your holiday to Mauritius Island is now possible, pack your bags. Mauritius is once again welcoming tourists.

 

What you need to know to Travel to Mauritius 2021:

 

Two range of dates and two type of guests. Your travel will be based on your selected date and whether your are vaccinated or not. Let’s get into the details.

 

From 15 July to 30 September 2021

First of all, travellers are required to provide the following documents before boarding:

  1. Negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate administered between 5 and 7 days prior to boarding.
  2. A valid air ticket to Mauritius
  3. Proof of purchase of a stay package in one of our certified COVID-19 safe resorts.

Secondly, the type of travels:

 

Vaccinated Guests

  1. Enjoy a holiday at one of our certified COVID-19 safe resorts
  2. Relax on the beach and enjoy access to all hotel facilities, excluding the spa
  3. You will undergo a PCR test on arrival day and on days 7 and 14 of your stay.
  4. After a negative PCR test on day 14, you will be free to go and explore the island

Unvaccinated Travellers (Mauritian Nationals Only)

  1. Book a 14-day quarantine including meals and transfers in an officially designated hotel.
  2. You will be required to stay in your hotel room for 14 days with meals will be delivered to your room
  3. You will undergo a PCR test on arrival day and on days 7 and 14
  4. After a negative PCR test on day 14, you can freely explore the island and move to a different accommodation or go home.

 

As from 1st October onwards

Vaccinated Guests

  1. Full opening of the island!
  2. Enjoy a stay in one of our beautiful hotels
  3. Freely explore our island and its attractions throughout your holiday
  4. You will have to present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to departure to be allowed entry in Mauritius

Unvaccinated Travellers

  1. Book a 14-day quarantine including meals and transfers in an officially designated hotel.
  2. You will stay in a hotel room for 14 days with meals delivered to room
  3. Undergo a PCR test on arrival day and on days 7 and 14
  4. After a negative PCR test on day 14, Freely explore the island and move to a different accommodation or go home.

 

Mauritius will be welcoming international travellers from 15 July 2021. The island will be opening in phases during 2021 and the first phase, from 15 July to 30 September 2021, will enable vaccinated travellers to enjoy a resort holiday on the island.

 

Travellers to Mauritius aged 18 years or over must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. They must undergo a PCR test between 5 and 7 days before departure and a negative result is required to travel to the island. Travellers will also have a PCR test on arrival at the airport in Mauritius and on day 7 and 14 of their resort holiday, as applicable.

 

Unvaccinated travellers will be subject to 14 days in-room quarantine for both Phases 1 and 2 until further notice.
